Australia's history is full of awesome women who did amazing things, GROUND BREAKING things and unfortunately, not many of us know their stories.
The concept of YOU THROW LIKE A GIRL is simple: a series of comedy sketches focusing on women throughout Australian history who were game changers in their field. From science and medicine, sport, acting, music, politics, community service, journalism, writing and aviation. Wherever you look, Australian women are achieving some amazing things in these fields and their stories are equally interesting.
YTLAG is performed by three of Melbourne's funniest comedians, switching between characters, narrators, accents and ridiculous costumes, all to help illustrate the stories of these wonderful Australian women. Throughout the show, Jess, Grace and Darcy use impersonations of celebrities, spoofs of TV shows, pop-culture references, musical parodies, character stereotypes - and more - in what has been called "a history lesson to tickle everyone's funny bone" (Arts Review, 2019)
Ultimately, You Throw Like a Girl has a simple objective: To be comedy show that pays tribute to real Aussie women, performed by Aussie women. And, if the audience walks away learning something new, well that’s just an added bonus.

"You Throw Like a Girl is fun and empowering, everything you could want from a sketch comedy show"
